My little person likes to gamble.  After I heard she had won money for the precious Sara, for the General (he is awesome) and for my good friend Magic, I sent her to the local casino to bet for me.  HA!  Of course I won – $800 to be exact.  Sweet!  How many baby carrots can $800 buy?

Some of our horses here at the Sanctuary are Thoroughbreds who used to race.  From what I understand, they were expected to go really fast or really far, and if they did, their owners made money.  Other people would bet on them – if the horses won, totally unrelated people made money.  I don’t get it – the horse does the work, but the “owner” and bettors make money.  Most of our Thoroughbreds are here because they got too old to make enough money for people or they were hurt trying to go farther and faster.

I love this arrangement where I send my human to go and gamble and if she loses, it’s her loss, and if she wins, it is for me.  This could be big!

Okay, I am starting a new program here at Equamore .  The people will do the work and take all the risks, and the horses benefit if they win.  I am going to call it “Betting FOR the Horses”.  If the people keep losing, we can trade them for a winner, just ignore them or send them to a place for dried up people!  Yo, Hoover, I’ve still got it!

I am Thor and I am an Equamore Horse.
