Our two remarkable blind horses spend their days in the outside arena while the finishing touches are put on their new field. Wishes has been blind for a long time, but her guide horse Shane passed away soon after they came to the Sanctuary. Eddie has recently lost his sight and is adjusting with the lovely Wishes as his tutor. These horses cannot be in the larger herds, as they do not recognize normal communication and warning signs from other horses. Their new field is flat with new fencing and multiple sound cues on all sides. They will continue to spend their nights in the barn until they are completely comfortable in their new field and shelter. We have high hopes for Eddie and Wishes!
