The summer fires have been extinguished, but now we have severe winter weather and flooding. The toll on Oregon’s horses will continue through the winter and beyond. Many of the fields planted for fall harvest and summer storage have been destroyed by fire, and much hay storage has been washed out or ruined by water, all making this year’s crop a rare and expensive commodity. The Oregon Hay Bank is counting on you to help keep horses out of rescues when their owners can’t find or can’t afford the increased cost of hay this winter.
HOW YOU CAN HELP HORSES AFFECTED BY WILDFIRE OR FLOODING:
- Make an online donation in any amount
- Pledge a monthly online donation of 1, 2, 3, or 4 bales of hay
- Phone in a one-time or monthly donation to (541) 482-5550
- Mail a check to the Oregon Hay Bank office to 4723 HWY 66, Ashland, OR 97520
- Donate hay or other feeds by phone, regular mail, or email (linda.oregonhaybank@charter.net)
