Snoop is a retired Quarter Horse once used for roping. Weary from his trade, and in need of rest, loving kindness, and care, he was rescued by a woman from an abusive situation when he was approximately fourteen years old. When she fell on hard times and could not pay his boarding fees any longer, Snoop’s future became very bleak.
We agreed to take him into the Sanctuary and give him the kind of care he always deserved. He had been abused physically and was very leery of people and fearful of human touch. Slowly, that has changed.
Right after his arrival, Grey came to the Sanctuary and the two of them immediately became great friends. Snoop is never too far behind Grey, though timid and with reservation in each step. Grey is always looking out for Snoop.
