The race has been run, the mint juleped, the wine pulled, the tickets raffled, the guitar strummed, the hats doffed, the tents struck, the chairs folded, and the barn door closed. And we’re ready to do it all over again in 2016.
One of Equamore’s strengths is that we know our horses, that we use patience and common sense when we deal with them, and that we understand that horses, like people, have posttraumatic stress reactions that can be triggered by what seems an insignificant set of circumstances.

In 2008 Equamore Foundation created the Oregon Hay Bank to give a helping hand to horse owners in temporary financial crises. The bank stockpiles two kinds of hay: the kind that grows on the ground and the kind that doesn’t grow on trees. OHB is proof positive that a small number of concerned, motivated people can make a difference for those who encounter temporary financial difficulties.
