Eddie and Wishes are finally in their custom made field. While both are blind, they both seem to see some light. This field is flat, with sound cues – driveways, the creek, etc. – on all four sides, along with bells along the fence line. Solar lights also rim the perimeter in the hopes that if they do see light, they will see these at night or see the sun shimmer on them in the daytime. So far these…

January 28, 2013 Bryant has made so much progress since he got his special shoes. Other than of course being more comfortable and energetic, Bryant is starting to interact with other horses. He joined in Buckley’s favorite game of nip and scream, and raced around the arena in a game of chase with Pete, Mowen and Josey. It was a treat to be at Equamore last week for this very special event: the one-year anniversary of Sara and her “person,” Equamore board vice-president Ruth Kennedy. Being a “person” to Sara means walking, grooming, and visiting her — as well as proffering treats (Sara and Ruth share an apple at the end of nearly every day).
