Today we began a new project for our horses with lameness issues. Our veterinarian took radiographs of the front feet of Bryant, who was previously diagnosed with Ringbone, Shorty, who was previously diagnosed with Navicular disease, and Magic, who has severe chronic laminitis. We will add these to recent radiographs of Thor, who has early stage laminitis and thin soles, Sassy who has severe chronic laminitis, and older pictures of Magic. Bryant is a beautiful Appendix Quarter Horse whose Rogue Valley neighbors noticed his neglect. After Jackson County Animal Control intervened, he was brought to the Equamore sanctuary in 2007. As you can see in this photo, he was terribly thin, and his hip bones were completely devoid of hair and full of scabs.
